Work From Home Online – 5 Reasons to Start an Online Home Business

There are many reasons why people want to work from home online. In this article we discuss some of the main incentives to do so and why it might be time for you to start a home based business of your own.

1. Stay Home with the Kids: Personally, this was one of my biggest reasons for starting a home business.. it was heart wrenching, as well as extremely expensive, to put our first child into daycare.  If you work from home, either offline or online you will now have the power to create and dictate your own schedule..  You should also consider the money you can save in daycare alone!  I have coached many people time and time again, that when you actually look at the numbers, with the money and time spent in a job with: time commuting, money spent for daycare, car expenses (gas, insurance, mileage depreciation), clothes for work, it simply doesn’t make financial sense.

2. Need Extra Money for Bills: This is an obvious one.. Money isn’t everything, until  you don’t have enough.. then it really does become everything.  Perhaps you are in a situation where you don’t really “need” extra moneys to pay the bills, but one thing having extra money, beyond just paying the bills,  is called having “choices”.  I remember being in the rat race, trading my time for money, making enough to pay the bills.. but when it came down to it, I didn’t have any money in the bank and no “choices”.  Choices for vacations, Christmas presents, home repairs, retirement, etc.  You know what I’m talking about here!  So think about this:  If you don’t make a change now and start in a new direction, will next year look any different than this year?

3. Unemployed or Unsatisfied in Current Job: Think about this.. when the economy goes down, what is the first thing to go when the company you work for starts to have a decline in business?  It’s called a pink slip party.  You and your co-workers are the first thing on the chopping block.  To the CEO and/or President of any corporation, employees are the most expendable and actually the fastest way for a company to turn their “bottom line” numbers around.  To the company, you are in fact, only a number.  If you are fortunate enough to keep your job in the midst of a pink slip party, guess who gets to pick up the slack from all your ex-colleagues?  You guessed it, it’s you!  Now you get to work even harder and longer and all for the same measly salary you were making before, when you had less responsibilities and work load!  Sound like a fair deal?  After all, you got to keep your “job”!

4. Create Passive Income: Along with the creating of the internet, came a huge influx of online home based business “opportunities”.  So, in a time where we have so much information available at our finger tips, there is a seemingly “unlimited” number of online business opportunities.  As a successful business owner, I can tell you 1000%, that trading your time for money isn’t the best use of your own time.  A traditional job is _NEVER_ going to give you the security of a steady stream of income no matter how many years you are employed.

5. Build Something Profitable for Yourself: You can stop working for someone else and making them rich while you bring home very little each paycheck. When you start an online business you are building something for yourself that can be very profitable down the road. You could look back in a few years and be amazed at what you have created with only a few hours each day devoted to it.
